* Helped equities and options traders realize annual return increases by roughly 30% by transforming the firm’s global network footprint over the last nine years.

* Formed a task force of network engineers, sysadmins and developers in consolidating 20+ legacy environments into a handful of strategically located PTP-aware, multicast-enabled NA and EMEA colocations connected over 10/40G low-latent links and packed with 400+ ultra-fast trading servers, packet brokers and latency monitors. This upgrade saved $400K+ in yearly IT expenditures.

* Collaborated with the partners and traders in expanding the firm’s trading footprint in LATAM and APAC by consolidating and upgrading multicast-enabled colocation infrastructure in Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico, with 100+ trading servers between the two regions. The firm realized returns close to $20M after two years of completing this project.

* Saved the firm around $500K annually on combined rent and electrical costs by consolidating TCP-based trading and non-trading workloads into AWS and replacing high-powered desktops with thin clients, and building a robust remote workforce infrastructure enabling the firm to stagger remote/on-site work days and significantly downsizing physical office real estate.

* Lead a team of network engineers in supporting global infrastructure 24x5, managing strict change control procedures, and proactively improving design and hardware and minimizing costs.

* After all consolidation and upgrade projects, to date, the firm has realized returns in excess of $80M+ and net annual IT expenditure savings of no less than $1.5M.
