Chapter 3: The Explanation

Matthew and Madilyn were so confused. They were in danger? But how? The only thing they were in danger of is the zombie raids and the spiders they were getting chased by.

“How are we in danger? We just got here!” shouted Matthew.

Calm down!” yelled Madilyn.”

“Okay, so, ‘Witch,’ how do you know that we’ve been in danger past this whole time?”

“I’ve been watching you, Taiyo, and Madilyn,” Witch explained. “I was the one who switched the swords. I was the one who was threatened to do what ever stupid thing Herobrine told me to do! It wasn’t my fault he joined the game and got stuck in water underneath the ice! He was literally in control! He planned to make the zombie raids as distractions and me stealing your things to free him!”

“Then why’d you listen to him?” asked Matthew.

“Because if I disobeyed him, he would kill me! Oh! I just noticed that my voice is a lot better now,” said Witch.

“Ok. Well, that doesn’t matter right now Witch,” said Matthew calmly. “How-

“Ok. So it all happened when I was just in my peaceful hut. After a while, I saw this weird portal that seemed like it would be some kind of breach or wormhole. Then, I saw a minecrafter jump out of the portal and he had purple eyes, a cyan shirt, and a pair of purple pants. He said, “Sorry, I’m just traveling around the world in my own cheatable way so I can build a -” and I saw someone with ice powers and ice flowing through the thing’s hands. It was like, his hands were melted in flowing ice,” and he looked exactly like you, Matthew,” explained Witch.

“Me? Why me?” asked Matthew.

“Well, here’s what other minecrafters think. Herobrine is future you,” said Witch. “It is all over the news.

“Future me? So are you saying,-”

You’re Herobrine. Yeah. Neither did I believe it,” said Witch. “And do you know who he kills to become a god?” asked Witch.

“No. Who?” Asked Madilyn.

“You won’t believe it if I say it, but…Her…Herobrine… k-kills…-”

If you are wondering why this is happening to Witch, it’s because Herobrine put a curse in Witch and now she might die.

“Witch? Are you ok? What’s happening?” asked Madilyn.

The cave started to shake like it was an earthquake.

“I don’t know! We gotta get out of here, this place is about to collapse! I’ll hold Taiyo and you hold Witch!” Matthew shouted over the noise of the falling rocks.

“Ok!” Madilyn shouted back.

One fourth of the ice was covering Taiyo. Meanwhile, Witch’s arm had black veins streaming through her arm like she was about to turn into ashes and fade away.

“Come on! We need to hurry!” yelled Madilyn.

Madilyn and Matthew threw Witch and Taiyo over the lava pit with all their might.

“We gotta build a bridge to get across!” Madilyn shouted.

“The problem is I’ve ran out of blocks!” Matthew yelled.

“And the solution is the blocks that got destroyed are the ones we can use to make a bridge!” shouted Madilyn.

“Oh yeah! Thanks!” Matthew shouted back.

Sorry that whenever they say something, it has to end with ‘yelled,’ or ‘shouted,’ instead of ending it with something like ‘said.’ So, Matthew ran over to a pile of rocks and grabbed 20 blocks of cobblestone since the length of the whole lava pit is 20 blocks wide. He placed one on the ground where they were closest to the edge of the lava pit and built across while Madilyn followed.

“Good job now c’mon pick up Taiyo!” Madilyn shouted picking up Witch.

Good thing Taiyo was fully uncovered from the ice so it was easier to carry him.

“We need to go through the letter path! Let’s throw them over again!” Madilyn yelled.

“Okay!” Matthew responded throwing Taiyo over.

Madilyn did the same to Witch.

“Okay! The first three is F, Y, and T!” Matthew shouted saying the letters from the bottom of his sword.

“Got it!” Madilyn said.

Right now, Matthew was on Y.

“Okay! R, Q, and H!” Matthew shouted.

“The last ones are, U, M, J, and E!”

“Wait what’s the last one?” asked Madilyn.

“E!” Matthew shouted.

“Okay! I’m across!” shouted Madilyn.

Matthew accidentally stepped on R instead of E because he was going to step on E while looking at his sword.

“Aah!” Matthew shouted holding onto the ground with only his three fingers; his pointer, middle, and ring finger.

“Help I’m gonna fall!” shouted Matthew.

“I got you don’t worry!” Madilyn shouted grabbing his other hand.

“I’m sorry Madilyn, but this is where I end,” cried Matthew literally.

“No!” yelled Madilyn back. “Remember what you said to me when I was about to fall? You said we’ll be depressed for the rest of our lives!” We don’t want that! Please…don’t go!” Madilyn cried while her voice was cracking and she started sobbing.

“But, Madilyn, this is different. I’m going to become Herobrine; evil. If you and Taiyo kept me with glowing white eyes, I can kill you both. Live a happy life with Taiyo. This way, Herobrine and me will be gone for good, and if I die, he dies,” Matthew said half smiling and half frowning. “Goodbye and keep this sword.” he said sadly.

“Noo!” Madilyn cried so bad while Matthew was falling all the way to the bottom of the world, and he was out of sight.

“Matthew!” cried Madilyn. “I have to get out of here! I have to move on with life!” Madilyn said and she kept crying grabbing the sword while picking up Taiyo and Witch, and did the same thing, threw them at the other side of the bridge with lava underneath. She ran across the bridge having her tears run away. Now the last thing she had to do is swim up to the waterfall holding Taiyo and Witch. She picked them up and swam all the way up and threw them on top of the ground near the border between the cave and the outside of the rest of the Arctic. She threw herself on the ground too, picked them up, ran to the two minecarts, threw Taiyo and Witch at the front minecart, and she went in the back minecart while the minecart she was in right now pushed the one at the front.

The Forest Biome

Once they got to the forest biome, their voices obviously changed and she took them out and carried them to the porch, put them on the wooden porch for now, opened the door, dragged them on the triple bed and closed the door.

“Well, there’s Matthew, gone,” Madilyn sighed.

After one minute or so, Madilyn just noticed the black veins were up to her chin! Madilyn ran to their chest, grabbed milk, closed the chest, ran back to Witch, and poured the milk in her mouth and the black veins started vanishing, and her eyes opened wide and started breathing very hard.

“Madilyn? Matthew? Taiyo? Where am I?” cried Witch.

“Witch! You’re alive! We’re at me, Matthew’s, and Taiyo’s house we all live in.” Madilyn said half depressed face and half joyful face.

“Oh! Taiyo’s good now, he’s probably knocked out but let’s hope he wakes up soon. Wait. Where’s Matthew?” asked Witch.

“I-it’s a long story. He died. He fell to the bottom of the world.” Madilyn said.

“Well we don’t know that! The bottom of the world leads to the Nether!” said Witch.

“Wait, so your saying-” Madilyn started.

“Your friend is trapped in the Nether,” Witch explained.

Madilyn’s eyes widened. “But unless he finds a portal from other minecrafters or has obsidian, flint and steel on him to create one

“He- hello?” Taiyo asked shivering. “I need a f-fireplace or s-somewhere warm!”

“Taiyo! Your awake!” Madilyn said running to him giving him three layers of blanket.

“Thanks, Taiyo responded. “Wait, where’s Matthew?”

“It’s a long story,” Madilyn said.

“Is he dead?” asked Taiyo.

“No- well, maybe but we know he’s in the Nether,” Witch explained. “Should I tell you guys the rest of the explanation?”

“What explanation?” asked Taiyo.

Witch explained to Taiyo what happened to Herobrine when he jumped out of the wormhole, got attacked by the ice monster, she’s been watching them, and stealing things because Herobrine made her steal. When Taiyo’s reaction went from confused to very annoyed, he got up, sat on the bed, and had to think. Taiyo really missed Matthew. He couldn’t believe he was in the Nether either dead or alive. Taiyo was crossing his fingers because hopefully Mathew’s alive. There’s a big chance that he’s dead because no one has ever survived the Nether. When other Minecrafters went there, they first took pictures and they threw the camera into the other side of the portal. There were dead people, a lot of pools of lava, wither skeletons, blazes, ghasts, a little amount of magma cube, and a bunch of pigmen. The wither sekeletons are basically regular sekeletons except they have a black skeleton with iron swords. Blazes can fire fire, they also burn fire, and they are yellowish orange with blaze rods under their head. Ghasts are like flying octopus except white and has white tentacles under their head like blazes. Magma cubes are in a cube shape, they can go in lava, and they are very burnt. Last, pigmen have golden swords and are half pig half man because pigmen are created when a pig is electrocuted by lightning. Taiyo was imagining Matthew’s cries and whimpers running away from ghast’s fireballs trying to kill Matthew. Taiyo thought for a moment looking shocked at Madilyn and Witch. Taiyo had missed his friend very much. He had to save him. He wondered if there were any griefers or other innocent minecrafters in the Nether. He hoped he was still alive.

“So Matthew is in the Nether maybe alive or dead?” asked Taiyo.

“Yeah, basically I guess…” Madilyn responded.

“Are you going to continue the explanation?” asked Taiyo.

“Oh yeah. About that uhh, Matthew’s Herobrine, in the future,” said Witch quickly.

“He’s who?!” Taiyo asked surprisingly mad.

“Herobrine,” Madilyn said.

“Wait. What? How?”

“That’s exactly our question,” Madilyn and Witch said together.

“Hmm… Oh! Hey guys. Look at it this way. Well you said Herobrine came out of this wormhole, right?” Taiyo said.

“Yeah to what I saw but when I read about it, it can also be called a breach,” said Witch.

“So, if he came out of a wormhole and he’s future Matthew, then maybe the other side of the breach or wormhole is the past!” Taiyo said speeding it up.

Witch and Madilyn got up quickly. They couldn’t believe what Taiyo just found out.

“But Matthew’s been on this side of the breach so he can’t be on the other side of it.” said Witch.

“Yeah but everyone has a doppelganger. Which is like a clone of someone but in a parallel universe.”

“Okay. So your saying,-” started Witch.

“We’re traveling to the past,” Taiyo cut off.

And the Nether,” said Madilyn.

“Yeah that too,” Taiyo responded.

“But there’s only one way to get to the Nether,” said Witch. “We can go to the cave again!”

“But the rocks are in the way,” said Madilyn.

“What rocks?” asked Witch and Taiyo together.

“When I was getting us out of the cave, the place started shaking and I got all of us out of here. Except Matthew,” explained Madilyn.

“Oh,” Witch and Taiyo said together.- again.

“I just noticed something!” Witch said. “Herobrine said he would kill me if I disobeyed him. I’ve been away from him for a long time and I’m still alive.”

“So…” started Madilyn.

“He went back home because Matthew is in the Nether,” said Witch sitting back in her chair leaning back.

“So whenever’s Matthew is in the Nether-” started Madilyn.

“Then that’s when who this guy, Herobrine is at the other side of the breach or wormhole.” Taiyo responded.
